Dain's pretty above-board. The KSHSAA rules had a substantial loophole that allowed those sorts of scrimmages that the smarter coaches used to their advantage.

They've been the smallest of the Olathe schools for a few years, but that is in the process of changing. In 2008 they had good backs but no line. Didn't ONW have a shady full pad scrimmage with Paola or something a couple years ago (which, if you don't know, would be illegal according to KSHSAA rules) Maybe there's a loop hole or something. Every coach lives to find those loop holes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7623488876733670980.post-31099962599918216662011-01-06T08:30:51.418-06:002011-01-06T08:30:51.418-06:00I don't think I would go on the high moral gro...I don't think I would go on the high moral ground for ONW. Not that he is immoral and low down, but I'm not sure all off-season practices (pads, ball, etc) are 100% by the rules. Not many coaches in the area are 100% by the rules, some skate the line and some don't even acknowledge a line is there. Usually the losing teams try to claim that as the reason for the record although none Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7623488876733670980.post-21566540853194323542011-01-05T17:09:13.460-06:002011-01-05T17:09:13.460-06:00Yeah, believe it or not some principals don't ...Yeah, believe it or not some principals don't put a lot of stock into the football program. All they care is if the coach is doing things 'the right way'- morally I mean. Yes, you can get a good coach that does things 'the right way' but some school administrations only care if they get the later half of the equation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7623488876733670980.post-3337404715818446402011-01-05T06:54:40.381-06:002011-01-05T06:54:40.381-06:00I don't think ONW is a football school, they&#...I don't think ONW is a football school, they're probably good at other sports, but I only follow football.Eaglefreshmannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7623488876733670980.post-90624341585388242672011-01-04T17:32:38.469-06:002011-01-04T17:32:38.469-06:00Not a Ravens fan by any means, but all there is to...Not a Ravens fan by any means, but all there is to say about it is what you said, they are 20-45, that's a .308 winning precentage.
