Faerber makes it Official, Commits to Illinois

SM East's Elliot Faerber became the first player from the Class of 2012 in the Sunflower League to receive a Division One offer, and shortly thereafter he made a commitment to play football at the University of Illinois.  Faerber was one of only four underclassmen to take home First Team All-Sunflower League honors, as chosen by the coaches, this past season.

Not the first D1 from Sunflower: Saunders & Simmons from Olathe North to KU (Maybe KU doesn't count as D1??)

Well Scott, I didn't realize Simmons and Saunders were in the class of 2011. Possibly read a little before posting that there is an error?
