Wow, Mooney and Root dominated. Gentry did really well too.

SMW must really be bad, get pounded by Lawrence??? ON no surprise here, OE 16 yds offense in the first half....pathetic! Leavenworth, stay home on Fridays, you embarass the league.

Despite being a huge Eagle fan, I have to say that the hawks did show some life during the 2nd quarter, especially through the air

Olathe North and Olathe South's running games both looked good. Root and Mooney lived up to the hype, while more under the radar, Jordan Ward and Teddy Colbert showed promise, and may be a step up from the backs they replaced last year.

Oh, and Eagles#1, I wouldn't underestimate Lawrence this year.

SMW football days may be over. Lawrence was just better. SME wasnt a surprise. Faerber was great. and they won big without starting tailback and spotlight player Adam Lowe

Ward a step up from Sands? Sounds plausible, just hard to believe from my standpoint.

It is a little early to say, Diablo, but Ward had 155 yds on 16 carries and 2TDs , before a late hit on him on a punt kept him out the whole fourth quarter.

On another note, seeing his highlights from Arizona, I knew Mooney was a fast kid, but he runs HARD too. I was impressed with his toughness (esp on that punt return where he punished Jr. Williams).

I cant remember which player did it, but I may never forget the huge block an ON player gave to a poor East player on the last PR
