SM East's Darling Commits to Kansas

Jordan Darling.
SM East's new transfer quarterback, Jordan Darling, officially committed to the University of Kansas on Monday, selecting KU over an offer from Kansas State.

Darling has spent the previous two falls playing high school football in other states.  As a sophomore in 2010 he quarterbacked Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio to a 3-7 record.

As a junior he split quarterbacking duties at Midway High School in Waco, Texas, helping the school to a Texas Class 4A state championship appearance and a 13-3 record overall.

Darling had been on KU's radar ever since talks of his potential move to Kansas City began springing up in January.  He was offered by head coach Charlie Weis and the Jayhawks in late February.

Darling is the first player from the Sunflower League in the Class of 2013 to accept an FBS offer.
