Jimmy Swain and the ON Defense dominated ONW. Swain notched an asstounding 5* sacks in total against ONW alone.

Swain vs. Wrench next week should be great and decide that district. Vikes 'took the cure' this week, the sunflower league 'cure' being to play SMN! But are they cured enough to beat the come from behind masters from Mission Rd.? Looks like the Lions will be watching the playoffs from home. And OE-BVNW will be another good contest next week. Big week of hard to pick games next week I think.

After all these close games throughout the year, the first game of districts feature 1 close game and a lot of blow outs. I honestly don't see anyone beating G-E. The run of Sunflower League teams in the State Championship may come to an end this year.

Watch out for #55 on the Olathe North Defense Team

Traevohn Wrench....errrr Gardner-Edgerton was really impressive live. Wrench is just faster than everyone (and better at breaking tackles than I would have figured). Anytime the Olathe South d-line failed to grab or slow him out of the backfield he would go for 20+ yards -- and usually more. And then when GE ran play action passes they would have four or five receivers literally completely open because so much attention was being paid to Wrench.

LHS beat them last year by matching the scoring. This year, there is no offensive juggernaut in the Sunflower League, so it's going to take speed, speed and more speed on defense. Only a few teams have that.

@queencw #55 Marcell Williams had a rather big part in the defense last week, his effort earned him what I believe is 1.5 sacks and numerous TFL's that stopped ONW in its tracks.
