WTH, SMN's QB not even an honorable mention!?????
If you take the 1st and 2nd team qb's off their teams and put them at smn and put Schneider at either SME or LFS and Schneider has huge #'s. IMO.
I do not believe that either Englund or Torneden would have performed as well as Schneider and they have a year + on him in better programs.
I agree, Schneider should be HM at the very least. Doing what he did as a sophomore should make the league give the kid a standing O... and send a clear message that he has 2 more years. Records will fall all over the place. Would I trade him for Bryce "The Tornado" Tornaden; no because of the offense FS runs. If FS was more of a throwing team, now that would be a different story. I'd move The Tornado to RB and win a state title with them!!!!
Couldn't agree more guys...I saw him as a definite 2nd teamer and possible 1st teamer. Not to take anything away from Torneden or Englund because they both had outstanding seasons but i just felt Schneider did more with less!
Schneider was honorable mention. Hard to find but he's in there
It makes me mad to see Burton, who was the league's leading tackler, only on 2nd team. Also DJ Turner from SM West was in the top 3 in tackles and only received honorable mention
Check that, Turner isn't even on the honorable mention list.
I agree with DJ Turner and Schneider- both should be on the list. And Macklin and Pembridge should have been first team. Macklin had a stellar year on both sides of the ball, and Pembridge wasn't even mentioned in either first or second for o-line, and he was one of the best in SFL. Some of these 'overlooks' are outrageous, it's like they had their picks done before the year started. Some schools just got no media attention.
My bad on missing Schneider in the HM section... guilty of reading too fast. Props for having him in there and glad to see him rewarded!!!
I already miss FS not being fully in the SFL and in the east because we only see about half the league's schools/talent. This year was really weird and felt like 2 different seasons with district, etc. in the west. My vote: Bah-humbug!
I also noticed that Josh Compton from SM West was did not get any honors. He finished with 100+ tackles
