Kopecky takes over as Leavenworth's new head coach

**Kevin Kopecky, best known for the 12 years he spent as the head coach at St. Thomas Aquinas, has officially been named the new head coach at Leavenworth. Kopecky takes over for Chad Speer who resigned following the 2009 season. Kopecky mysteriously resigned at Aquinas in August of 2009, several weeks before the start of the season. Local media outlets reported health concerns, but rumors spread that there was more to the situation. Kopecky brings a career record of 150-99 to Leavenworth.
