Eli Underwood's musings on high school football in the Sunflower League
SM South's Gabe Guild rushed for 342 yards last night...wow. Assuming that stat is correct (nothing is official, yet) that might be the most rushing yards a SL player has put up in a single game in the 2000s. The closest to that, that I'm aware of, was James Franklin's 340 rushing yards against Olathe Northwest in 2009--which set the Olathe North school record.
Shawnee Mission schools are now 7-18 on the season with 6 of the 7 wins coming against each other. Oh, the shame! Vikings, Lancers you need to turn this around next week against Leavenworth and Free State respectively.
Man, those Olathe games (South and East) were closer than I'd thought they'd be.
despite being an Eagle, Olathe North's opponents' (not including Olathe East) combined record so far is 4-16... the road won't be getting easy from here on out.
