Players who I saw who impressed me this season in no particular order...
Braden Smith...will play on Sundays if he doesn't get injured. Its as simple as that.
Darling/ SM East...great arm for a HS QB. Not the best QB in the league, but the best college QB prospect in the league.
Trevon Wrench...good quick athlete, has to be a D1 prospect.
Brad Strauss...incredible command of the offense best QB I saw.
Kyle McFarland...just a shade behind Strauss. Nice combo run/ pass QB. I wondered if Lawrence had never split who would've been the starter. That would be a nice problem to have for any coach.
Andre Maloney...fast and coordinated athlete. Absolutely a D1 player. Curious to see how he responds next season
Tell ya who impressed me the most this year... there were lots of WOW moments from lots of players, but position for position, hands down Joey Reed, K, SMW was far and away the best HS kicker I've seen in a long time. D1 leg for sure!
Randal Byers Jr. #56 at Olathe Northwest H.S.definitely should be part of this for the 2013 season. Graduating class of 2014. Randal is a returning senior standing 6'6" 300 lbs. ,and he is for sure a D1 Blue chip football player on the defense line.Randal is definitely a man child unique specimen. I have yet in all the years he has played seen anybody stop him! Great knowledge ,and brute strength. He will be seen on Sundays as a grid iron King.
Randal Byers play on the field speaks for it's self. He should get all of his recognition. Any awards,or honors to teams. This kid is the real deal! A real addition to anything great.
This kid is the Olathe Northwest Ravens Defense.
