Stat to NoteAs SM East's primary ballcarrier in 2010, Lowe racked up five rushing touchdowns and just over 600 rushing yards in the Lancer's pass-heavy offense.
As a senior, Lowe will be expected to shoulder much more of the Lancer's offensive load than he did as a junior. Last season quarterback John Schrock was often called on to gain ground yardage for SM East. Lowe also split time in the backfield with Seth Hartman. Without Schrock or Hartman, much more of the focus will be on Lowe to keep the team's rushing totals up.
Lowe is lightning fast in open field, and his ability to get past second level defenders so quickly is what makes him such a threat. He had an impressive average of six yards per carry as a junior and that number should go up substantially along with his touchdown totals now that he has a year of experience under his belt and another year of maturity in Chip Sherman's offense.
Lowe isn't a bruiser who will be receiving 20 plus carries a game, but when he does get his touches you can bet he'll make them count. Expect quite a few highlight reel plays from the senior in his second year in the SM East backfield.

I believe that this is a very good pick on eli's part. But are you gonna do anything about Orange Mooney? I understand it may be harder to get stats on him though...
Orange Mooney highlights. Is he James Franklin? No. Is he good? Uh,Yeah.
this kid is a mean salesmen at waterway too.. hes got it all
Adam did great as the class president in 6th grade. I know he'll do good on the football field this year :)
Good pick Eli. Adam Lowe was a solid, at times spectacular running back for a record-breaking SME squad last year. Lowe came up real big in several key games for the Lancers. He's very worthy of recognition as a spotlight player.
Shawnee Mission East is the team to beat in 2011. The lancers inhierited a QB that is a solid replacement for John Schrock, their previous QB who is now playing on the D1 level at Colorado. The lancers also seem to have the most starting and experienced players returning. Elliot faerber, a Illinois commit will be impossible to stop this year, and Adam Lowe, the returning running back will be one of the fastest backs in the league. The offense is dynamite from its passing to its rushing, but the defense will be tough to handle for most teams. There is both great run stopping and pass coverage that will shut teams down. The offense will be made up of about 10 seniors, and the defense will be incredible. Personally, as a fan of all high school football and all of the Sunflower league's teams, i think that SME will do extremely well this year and is definately a threat to every program in the league and probably the state. Under the coaching of Hall of Famer Chip Sherman, the Shawnee Mission East lancers will definated be hard to stop from winning this year.
This SM East fan is starting to sound like the Olathe North Fans. The difference is the Olathe North fans have past success to use as their argument. Even though it is completely anoying to listen to all the time, give em credit their team does back up all the bragging their fans do.
Orange Mooney is already proving to be a cancer at Olathe South.... Like the Budweiser commercial "Leon can't do it all"....
It will be fun to watch him melt down when they give all carries to the kid that transferred from OEast....
Excuse me, I meant Olathe North....
Who's SME working out at QB?
You need to clarify your Orange Mooney comment. What do you base it on? From everything I am hearing he is the real deal. Come up with some facts rather than random statements.
to the dumb a#@ comment on Orange Mooney. Learn what school he goes to before you pop off. North is always the team to beat...another run at the State is in the works...same ole, same ole.
well as a senior kid at olathe north, I want to say that Orange is not a "cancer" he's a cool kid who was ahead of the game in the weight room yes it's hard to split carries exactlyy but I know our offense is set up for two running backs, he's still getting used to the North mentality but he is coming along
Adam who?? i dont know who this kid is. Wheaties Brownlee? His posters on my wall! This kid is legit hes got the speed to take it to the house each play and the move that could make your mothers pants drop...all around athlete
This kid is not that great. I dont think he should have a player spotlight. Although he was playing for a decent team he didnt get very many carrys and didnt produce very much stats. I am a SMN alumni and i recall their recent transfer Kendall Kelly having similar stats in less games due to injury playing on not a very good football team. He had very few blockers to open up holes for him to run through, but he still had over 600 yds rushing and 6tds. he had two more touchdowns, one called back due to a penalty in the Wyandotte game and a reception against OE that went down to the 1yd line that should have been a touchdown. Adam Lowe will not be much of a factor in 2011.
