**Most publications haven't began their pre-season previews yet, so until then there isn't a whole lot of news coming out on any of the teams. The KC Star had an article the other day on how the eight Sunflower League teams not in Olathe all have turf fields for practice purposes. How much of an advantage is this? Hard to say, if at all, but it certainly allows for better practice conditions throughout the season.
**ESPN released their schedule of high school football coverage for 2009. Kansas has one game on the schedule--Kapaun Mt. Carmel at Bishop Carroll--on October 9th.
