Love the "Honey Badger" and "Burners" categories. However I think you left out some key players in the burner categories, Braxton Love (Olathe East), is a speedster on the track and is rumored to run sub 4.4 sec. Also the 6th fastest kid in the state, Kyle Evans of Olathe East will be playing defensive back for the Hawks. From what I remember from his days in Junior High and Frosh/Soph seasons, he is a ball hawk. Another sleeper you might want to include, Olathe North Junior Jeighlon Cornell was just invited to the US Army combine in San Antonio along with Maloney after showing incredible ball hawking skills up in Smithville's USAC tryouts. Als several SMNW skill players shower a nack for going up and making plays. Connor Alexander, who was also at the combine, showed aggressiveness to get the ball. Plus his two sacks on McFarland last season should be taken into account. Tom McCue (OS) should be in the defensive backs category, as a junior he flew around the field, some serious instincts there.
But all in all, great job Eli. Very entertaining!
How do you leave Braden Smith off the highlight reel? I look forward to seeing him on ESPN. That list of offensive linemen is impressive. It's going to be a great year to watch high school football!
I love the Chappel kid. Hes going to be a star.
I want everyone in the coubtry to know that Randal Byers Jr class of 2014at Olathe Northwest HS is the top defensive lineman in the sunflower league standing 6'6" 300 lbs.all muscle. He is truly the real deal. Pound for pound none of these people mentioned can stop him, or even tie his shoes. Check out RBJ, the Ravens, and Coach Sherman the best coach in the league period this season.
Number56 Randal Byers Jr.RBJ AKA Mr.Showtime for The Ravens at ONW is all D1 status.Check out you tube, hudl etc..Sherman's Ravens will be tough mentally this season than ever before.
Can't believe Randal Byers at Olathe Northwest helped Pioneer Trail jr.high.win the city football championship. HE will be on espn and all sports channels in his near future! He needs to be on all the elite list.
I enjoyed this article but you left out Kyle Ball (SME) on the defensive lineman side. Granted he is only a junior this year but he did play some varsity as a sophomore. Otherwise great articel
