Olathe North senior-to-be,
Victor Simmons (left) has made a verbal commitment to play for head coach
Turner Gill at the University of Kansas. The 6-foot-1, 185 pound Simmons gained attention last season after rushing for over 1,000 yards as a quarterback for the 6A state champion Olathe North. Simmons also played safety for the Eagles--the position the Kansas coaching staff will have Simmons playing at for the Jayhawks. Thus far Simmons is the only Sunflower League player to have received a division one offer.
